My Dream.

Close your eyes,
feel me within.
Open them now,
and feel the wind.

Your dreams must be bizarre;
but mine isn't.
Mine's a life,
a sigh hidden.

Mine's a reality,
that's hard to face;
because it's still a hope,
it's meant to break.

It's a muddled puzzle,
an Angel's song;
the strange, dark night,
a fairy-tale gone wrong.

And yet in all it's sadness,
it has a never-seen beauty.
My dream fulfills me,
holds me with dignity.

It's a deceptive mirage,
coyly it beckons me,
into it's beautiful mysteries,
which leave me lonely.

Then you wonder,
why do I hold on?
It's just a dream,
then why go on?

But I smile at you,
and let you know.
Destiny gave me a chance,
to seek happiness and sorrow.

In this sorrow,
when I open my eyes;
I'll hold my dream,
I'll make it mine.

And for the time,
it briefly lingers;
I'll find my happiness in it;
to it I'll surrender.

And when the dream breaks,
I'll let it go.
So, it can liberate me,
after it made me whole...
